Eldred's appraisers will provide verbal evaluations of
your treasures to benefit the Historical Societies

Maritime Days Exhibit by Historian Phyllis Horton. This exhibition features the lives and times of those who risked their lives in violent storms and angry seas to rescue the mariners of Dennis and Cape Cod.

Step back into the 1700's in the saltbox home of Rev. Josiah Dennis for whom the town was named. Costumed interpreters will bring those years to life. Continuing popular maritime exhibit, “Dennis Lifesavers”.

Old Fashioned Pie Sale on the Green

Come buy a piece or a whole homemade pie from the Manse Bakers at their 12th annual pie sale. These pies may be better than what Mom baked! Bring a blanket or chair and stay to listen to the wonderful concert. No early bird sales!
(Proceeds go to the Dennis Manse Repair Fund)

Walk Through the 1860’s Swan Lake Cemetery

A guided walk in the old Swan Lake Cemetery, the resting place of Dennis’s only Medal of Honor winner and many local sea captains and early residents. Please join Terri Fox & her helpful ‘spirits’ for this interesting tour.
A $3.00 donation is suggested for the cemetery upkeep.

A lawn party will be held for children of all ages and will feature the stories of Jim Coogan, local author of books such as his new “Priscilla The Amazing Pinkywink”. Face painting by Terri Fox. Lemonade and cookies too!

Colonial Open House at the Manse

Step back to the 1700’s and Colonial times as costumed interpreters demonstrate early skills. Open hearth cooking with the Heaney’s. Candle making, spinning (with perhaps a sheep or two watching!), pie making, the Colonial Militia performing drills, children’s games on the lawn - and more. Always a wonderful event for young and old alike! Visit the 1745 one-room schoolhouse and walk through the gardens.
Refreshments will be served.
